A word about our unit rosters

    When searching through unit rosters you will see some names underlined.  Click on these names to access biographical data for that person.  We hope at some point to be able to provide at least some biographical information for everyone who served at Debden, but we'll need your help.  It is impossible for us to acquire the service records of everyone who served with the 4th and the service units supporting the 4th.  Because of this, many of the bio pages will have little or incomplete information.    

    If you have information regarding the service of a 4th vet that you would like to see posted, please contact us so we can arrange the transfer of information.  Similarly, if you see information that you believe to be incorrect, please let us know.

    Information for the biographical data pages was taken primarily from the individual squadron histories, personal logbooks, pilot biographies/autobiographies, DD-214's, official USAF biographies, obituaries and correspondence from the veterans and/or their families.  Personal service histories are compiled by going through the unit documentation, from group level down to squadron and company level.  Most of the units have gaps in their record keeping, and the level of detail varies from one command to another.  It is sometimes difficult to track a man's service, especially within the service squadrons, when they were moved frequently.  We do the best we can with the information and limitations we have.
