Hi everyone,

Have been going through some much needed updating on some of the older profiles.  All group/squadron Intelligence officer profiles have been updated, plus two additional profiles added: McGarrigle and Cowan.

Added profiles for James Pearson (1770), Clifford Endsley (1770/864), Edward Hedrick, Frank Serra, Charley Schroeder, Walter Keifer (334), Philip Betz, Thomas Corn, Frederick Graham, William Studer, Herbert K. Wilson (aka H. Keith Wilson or Keith H. Wilson), Clarence Wilcox, Elwin Spearry, Lee Whiting, Hal Taylor, Robert Beeson, John G. Clark, Thomas Ellis, John Hackett Jr., Marvin Barnette, Ted Jenkins, Albert Belade, Peter Foti, Erving Mundell (all 335), Vincent Iucci (335/HQ), Charles Mitchell, John Ferris, Joseph Kliman, Thomas Burke, (all 336) Eugene Kennedy, Gerard Kirby, Barney Heatley, Frederick Maypark, Edward Amador, Kenneth Norris, John Peplowski, Aubrey Lane, Ernest Millsap, Leonard Goff, Morton Fierman, Constantine Sintetos, John T. Lee, James Kilfoil (all 4HQ), Lloyd Gilbreath (335/336) and Charlie Wells (334/336/4HQ).

Updated profiles for Steve Pirigyi (1770/688), John F. Malone (4HQ), Frank Joiner, Paul T. Taylor, Clarence Berry, Warren Oaks, Joseph Wall, James Watson, James Watson Jr. and Beacham Brooker (336) and Joseph Goetz (335)

Additionally, we are continuing to expand the unit rosters with personnel not on any of the current rosters.  Most of the rosters are from war's end or show the initial unit composition.  men who arrived after the start and/or left before the end are harder to track due to the varying quality of each unit's archived history.  Till now, we have not included most late war arrivals, i.e. men posted to the 4th as hostilities ended or right after, who went through Debden as part of their journey home.

More on the way!

Cheers,

Tim

Hi all,

We have added to the Memorials page, which now includes all three monuments to 4th Fighter Group pilots in Czechia:  LeRoy Carpenter, Robert O. Davis and Carl Alfred.

Happy Holidays everyone!

We have added two new ships to our Mysteries page, and have also determined the identities of two others!  Check it out when you've a moment, and drop us a line if you have some gen on the two new anonymous ships!

Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season, and a tremendous 2026!

Hello everyone,

Check out the Mysteries page to learn the identity of Annie, a P-51D whose identity had escaped us for quite some time!  Thanks to Peter Randall for the sleuthing.

Hi all,

It's been far too long since we made an entry here.  That said, we've continued to update existing profiles and content, making corrections or additions as necessary.

We have just added a new photo to the 4th Fighter Group mysteries page, a late-war P-51D named Peanuts, which we believe belonged to 336.  Take a peek and let us know if you have the gen!

We will be sure to post any news or additional updates in this space.

9 June: updated profiles for Ganofsky, Shilke (both 336) and Simpson (335)

Cheers,

Tim

Hi all,

Just returned from the 2023 reunion.  Will be adding photos to the site in small groups over the next several weeks, to profile pages as well as other gallery shots.  First up, shots taken aboard RMS Queen Mary in November 1945 during the voyage back to the States.

More to come!

Cheers,

Tim
