Hi all,
It's been far too long since we made an entry here. That said, we've continued to update existing profiles and content, making corrections or additions as necessary. We have just added a new photo to the 4th Fighter Group mysteries page, a late-war P-51D named Peanuts, which we believe belonged to 336. Take a peek and let us know if you have the gen! We will be sure to post any news or additional updates in this space. 9 June: updated profiles for Ganofsky, Shilke (both 336) and Simpson (335) Cheers, Tim Hi all,
Just returned from the 2023 reunion. Will be adding photos to the site in small groups over the next several weeks, to profile pages as well as other gallery shots. First up, shots taken aboard RMS Queen Mary in November 1945 during the voyage back to the States. More to come! Cheers, Tim Hi all,
Have added over 15 new profiles to the 335 Ground roster, as well as updating 30 existing profiles in various units. Moer to come! Tim Hi all,
Autumn has arrived, and the foliage color is spectacular up here - as usual. We've done a quick revamp to all Service Group pages. Expanded - but still brief! - unit histories now can be found on the unit roster pages. Previously more concise write ups for each unit were on the 33rd Service Group home page. Now, a list of the units is there, but the user is now directed to the unit 's roster page for the details. In other news, over forty more profile pages have been added, predominantly for the 1770th OS&M Co and the 1063rd MPC. Cheers! Tim Hi everyone,
Have started working on the long neglected 1063rd Military Police Company (Aviation) profiles Have added 8 recently and more are on the way. As always, if you have a relative friends who served with the 4th and its associated service units, and don't see him listed here, send us the gen! We do not have beginning to end rosters for any of the units, and there are no doubt folks missing. Enjoy what's left of the summer! Cheers, Tim **** 2 OCT 2022 UPDATE: Additional profiles added to 1770th OS&M Company roster! **** Happy Summer everyone!
In addition to ongoing clean-up activities, we've added several profiles for 33rd Service Group personnel, and other units as well. From the 33rd: Swan, Metivier, Hoogewind, Shelland, Genicola, Thorgeson, Kazdan, Appleby, RD Pool, Roidt, Lappin, Peacock and Hanchey. From the 45th: Harris, Helbig, Levi and Markowitz. From the 24th: Munro, Brantley, Day, Dobbs, Cruse, Beesley, Malley, Aeiker, Conte, Garner, Gainsboro, Baumbach, Renollet, Reeves, McDowall, Rindfleisch, Danner, Shaffer, Neer and Maitre. From the 2119: Wapner From the 1126th: Patton and Parrish. More to come! Cheers! Hi all,
Have begun augmenting the 4th Headquarters Squadron roster, adding profiles for Price, RT Smith, Sirback and Fetterman. Also added 335 profiles HK Wilson, Wiechman, McLemore, Weitzel, Zmyeski, WL Wolff, Whitaker and Penn. Check back for more soon... Tim Hi everyone,
A belated Happy New Year to you all. Beginning to resume site updates; added a profile for Pfc James Stockwell, 33/438. We've rearranged the Special Collections page and have added new content. We will also begin to post select articles from the Eagle Eye. Stay tuned! Cheers! Hi all,
We've been using our spare time recently updating existing pages. We recently completed revamping the pilot profile pages so they are now all of one format. We will move onto to other profile pages soon. We've also begun augmenting the Timeline page on the site. While it is not our ultimate goal to have a complete diary here, we are adding more significant events to beef it up. We are also adding photos to specific entries for events that we think warrant a little something extra. Additionally, we are going to include more non-operationl items too, to more fully paint the picture of life at Station 356 from 1942-1945. Stay cool! Tim |
